HISTORICAL FASHION SHOW AND LUNCH
IN THE BETHEL SCHOOL HOUSE
SATURDAY, MARCH 17, 2018 AT 11:15 A.M.
Historical Jonesboro/Clayton County, Inc. is hosting a historical
fashion show luncheon featuring styles from the past. Historic
costumers, Kat Nagar and Marie Walker will speak about the
costumes they’ve created for theater, dance and reenacting.
The costumes range from the Middle Ages through the 1860’s.
Kat Nagar is Director of the Atlanta Historic Dance Company.
She started making historic costumes 20 years ago to wear
while performing. Researching and recreating costumes and
dance is her passion and labor of love. Marie Walker is a
history major at the University of Georgia. She is a living
historian who has costumed many theatrical productions and
also hosts a Living History Event each September at Stately
The lunch will be a special meal paying homage to the beloved
Chicken Salad Plate from The Magnolia Room of Rich’s
Department Store. We will feature several of Rich’s
original recipes. This unique event promises to be a fun and

property at 100 Carriage Lane in Jonesboro, Georgia.
Valentine Exhibit: A large selection
of vintage and antique cards can be found in our exhibit
room during the month of February. Highlights of this
exhibit include a collection of tussie mussie holders,
Valentine calling cards, and vinegar Valentines which
contain insulting poems and funny caricatures.
