Welcome to the official website for Historical Jonesboro/Clayton County Inc.. We are a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the preservation of our local history and heritage. Our location, the Margaret Mitchell Memorial Park in Jonesboro, GA , Clayton County is the legendary home of Gone With The Wind .

For almost 40 years, Historical Jonesboro has dedicated resources to community involvement and education. We currently reach out to students through programs such as tours, presentations, and workshops. At the heart of our historic community are the 1839 Greek Revival antebellum home known as "Stately Oaks", the log kitchen used on the property, a well house, a tenant house, Juddy's country store, and the last one room "Bethel School House" used in Clayton County.
